Lauren Varga's Bio (continued)

Other internships included a summer at the Library of Congress the in 2005. Aside from treating 19th and 20th century photographs, Ms. Varga was involved in environmental monitoring of the Library’s collection and developing a plan to re-house a collection of lantern slides.  The following summer Ms. Varga interned in the Sherman Fairchild Center for Works of Art on Paper at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Over the course of the summer, she performed a survey on some of the 8,500 prints from the newly acquired Gilman Collection. This exercise furthered Ms. Varga’s connoisseurship of 19th century photographic processes and history.

Ms. Varga received a MA and CAS from Buffalo State College in 2007. Upon graduation, she returned to the studio, focusing on project management and treatment.
