Ms. Chen has completed several in-depth research projects since completing her graduate studies, including: Photo-documentation of Photographs, Compensation of Loss on Tintypes, Investigation of Fibril Accretions on Daguerreotypes, Treatment of Paper Negatives, Coatings on Ansel Adams’s Photographs, the Evaluation of Surface Change of Gelatin Silver Prints under the Influence of Drying/Flattening, and the Image Colors of Early Photographs—an Investigation of Photogenic Drawings and Leucotypes by W. H. F. Talbot. She is currently working on creating reference standards for digital photo-documentation using ultraviolet radiation.
Ms. Chen is a Professional Associate of the American Institute of Conservation for Historic and Artistic Works (AIC).
