• Elected to two terms as Director of Communications, Board of Directors, American Institute for Conservation, 2004 and 2007
• As part of a project organized by the AASLH and AIC, assists collecting institutions in Mississippi and New Orleans impacted by Hurricane Katrina, Sep 2005
• Program Chair, AIC’s Photographic Materials Group, 2003 to 2005 and Chair, AIC’s Publications Committee, 2001 to 2004
• Appointed a peer-reviewer for art commissioned by General Services Administration’s, Art in Architecture Program, since 2002
• Program Chair for AIC’s annual meeting, Jun 2000, Philadelphia
• Co-organizer of TechArcheology, a project that brought artists, curators and conservators together to discuss the preservation challenges inherent in installation art funded through a grant from the Getty Grant Program. This project was documented in a special issue of the Journal of the American Institute for Conservation (2001)
• Founder of AIC’s Electronic Media Group (1996), program chair, (1996 to 1999) and chair (1996 to 2000).
